Should the hosts and guests have the same shirt?

That depends on whether guests need to recognise the hosts. You could use a role on the host design and leave it off the supporter version. Describe each design separately and check the previews before ordering.

Does ordering a shirt send money to our cause?

The order is for a custom shirt. Arrange your donations, tickets and any fundraising collection separately. Work out the shirt cost when planning your event budget rather than treating the purchase price as a donation.
