Maybe one of you suggested entering and the other is still reminding them. Maybe nearly done has become your least favourite phrase. Explain your own partnership rather than choosing a line that could belong to any two people at the gym.

Both names together or one name each? A shared shirt can include both names. If you each want your own name or a different half of the joke, create those as separate designs. Say exactly which words belong on the version you’re making.
Make a pair without forcing different roles You don’t have to call one person the strong one and the other moral support. Use a line you both say or a picture from training. If you do want different roles, agree them with your partner before printing.
Before the race or after finishing? For a pre-event shirt, use your names, booked city and year rather than a made-up result. For a keepsake afterwards, you can give a checked finish time. Tell us which it is so the design doesn’t imply you’ve already raced.

Before you order the doubles shirts

Can both names be on the same doubles shirt?

Yes. Give both names and the exact wording you want, then check the spelling in the preview. If you want a different name or line on each person’s shirt, create and review each version separately.

Can we make two shirts with different halves of a joke?

Make one design for each half and check both previews with your partner. The Maker doesn’t automatically separate a single message into two individual shirt designs. Be clear about which words should print on each version.

Can we add the finish time after the event?

Give the confirmed time and any city or date you want printed, then check all of it in the design. For shirts ordered before racing, leave a result off or make it clear the line is a joke. This flow doesn’t retrieve official race results.

How much are the shirts?

For one shirt, Base is £24.99 GBP in 100% cotton. Premium is £32.99 GBP in 100% organic ring-spun cotton. Both are currently white, in adult S–2XL (XS in Premium).
