Which year are you getting back together?

Give the school, college or university, the year you left and the year you’re meeting again. Then explain the reference you want on it. If you’re adding an anniversary number, work it out from those dates first rather than asking Levyo to guess.

The design

Check both years before sending it round.

Does Class of mean the year you graduated or the year you started? Read it as someone from your group would. Check the reunion year separately and remove any anniversary number that doesn’t match. If the picture has turned your common-room story into generic graduation hats, ask for the armchair back.

What would people from your year recognise straight away?

It could be the common room you always ended up in, a course joke or the phrase someone still says twenty years later. Explain that memory and pick one thing to draw. A reunion tee can say more about your group than another graduation cap, especially when you left years ago.

Your leaving year and reunion year Class of 2007 and Reunion 2027 tell different parts of the story. Use the dates your group agrees on; a course cohort may use a different year from the wider university.
The reference from back then Explain the room, course or running joke in a normal message. If the line only makes sense with a particular object in the picture, say which one and why.
Enough names to stay readable A whole class list can make a busy design. Start with the cohort name or a shorter line and check the preview. Don’t squeeze in names just because you’ve got the old register.

A few things you might want to know

Should I use our graduation year or the reunion year?

You can use both, but label them clearly. Class of normally refers to your leaving or graduation year; Reunion refers to when you’re meeting again. Agree what your cohort means and check any anniversary number against those two dates.

Can I put the whole year’s names on the shirt?

You can ask for names in the design, but check spelling and readability in the preview. A long register may need simplifying. For a different personal name on each tee, create and review each version; one list won’t automatically produce them all.

Can we use our school or university crest?

If you supply a crest, make sure you have permission to use it and check the generated artwork carefully. Exact reproduction isn’t guaranteed. You can also make an original picture about a place or memory from your year without using the official crest.
